Libya War Opinions

The United States has recently fired various missiles at Libya due to the fact that the Libyan leader has began bombing his own country. Since the United States is a primary peace keeper it decided to intervene. However, I find it funny that as the primary peace keeper, our country is intervening in another country's pretty much genocide by bombing it even more. That's just ridiculous. Various news outlets are wondering if the Libyan Civil war is an opening for al Qaeda & Jihad. Personally, I think we should stay out of wars and just offer support because all we're really doing is blowing things up even more. So if there's not peace, there's violence but in order to get peace we have to have more violence.. fighting fire with fire only causes a bigger fire. We're already in debt to other countries and here we are spending millions and millions of dollars on wars that aren't really ours to fight. The United States just have to get it together and stop trying to father all the countries.

  1. The reason the United States launching missiles in Libya is because we are supporting France. I'm in the middle on the involvement of the United States because if we get involved we get blamed for what happens next and if we do not we seem like the adult ignoring the bully.

  2. it does seem like a no win situation... if the US does not intervene, it risks another Rwanda-like situation. however, if we continue to get involved the civilian casualties we cause will be on our hands. However, I feel that genocides are one of the only instances where it is our duty to act. World powers should not stand idly by while a leader massacres his own people.
